What does 'weighting' mean in test papers?

For example:
Question 1 (Weighting: 20)
Choose and describe any five systems of the body. (Approximately 100 words on each system, 4 marks per system.)

it means that your answer is worth 20 "points"
name 5 systems of the body and each answer is worth 4, so 5x4 = 20 (weighing 20)
Does that make sense?

Its their marking system they use. It is to give you a guide in to how many words you need to write for each question. For example for some of my CBT questions they weight 5 and I tend to write about 300 - 500 words for those questions. Hope this helps.
