Hi everyone first time on the forum . As part of my Early years Educator course, I have been asked to research Theoroetical perspectives in reflection to professional development. I need to share and discuss my research with you, on an online forum.
I have chose to write about Kold's learning cycle and Gibbs' reflective cycle.By reading Kolb I noticed that I do used his method to reflect how to make an activity better.
I do use Gibbs method too because I always evaluate the activity afterward to see what went well and not so well and what I can do differently next time.

I will be happy to hear your own view.

Are there other theories that you have come across that you have found useful in reflection of your professional development.

Thanks and looking forwards to hear from you.

Hi, I also undertook research on different theoretical perspectives. I analyzed, I followed Gibb's reflective cycle to help my practice better . I have conducted research on Kolb's and Schon perspectives as well. I concluded that all theories are based on almost the same principle that is to identify own strengths and weaknesses, to examine what didn’t go well and how would you improve pitfalls through experience.

Hi I don't know about Schon but I will definitely reach him and compare, but I think that Gibbs' reflective cycle has also help be in my practice how to deal with crisis or incident better.

Hi Rabia thanks for commenting. I totally agree about  to identify own strengths and weakness, this does help us in our practice.
