Study tip, Anyone who have young children or babies

I just want to say that I have a baby who make it hard for me to study and do my assignments so I do understand anyone who is going through this.......

My advice is do your work when your baby is a sleep or someone else is looking after the baby and always save your work on microsoft word so that you dont lose your hard work: I have lost one of my assignments because of my baby playing with my computer!

The other reason why I make sure my baby is a sleep is because I am now doing a dressmaking and fashion course which involves sewing which means it is dangerous for my baby to be around...

i have a 3 year old daugher so i know what your going threw, its so hard to study around children. My daughter sometimes has a sleep in the day but not very often. I have to just study when i can as my hubby works full time.. Def hard for us mothers, thats why i choose to distance learning courses, as i couldnt go to college and couldnt afford for my daughter to go into child care! soon she will be going to pre school tho so it shall make things easier for me to get my career rolling, best of luck Emooni :)

I hope everything works out for you, I know how you feel.....my husband works full time and I cannot afford nursery for my baby that's the reason for me to study at home too...

I hope you have more time to study when your daughter goes to pre-school.

All the best Rebecca, it's not easy being a mum and there is so many mums going through this I'm sure.....

Thankyou, i know its not easy, every mum goes threw the same as they want to have a good career and have a family. Yes childcare is very expensive, distance learning courses are fantastic for those with difficulty situations, the best of both worlds study and have a family then get a good career out of it.. just think positive and do abit at a time when you can and your soon get your diploma, while being a mum at the same time, its so precious the first stages of motherhood! :) enjoy! :)

It must be very hard for you to study Emooni! A mother is already overwhelmed by the duties of a household and motherhood and so she can get easily distracted. You're right to take advantage of your child's naps and set up a schedule to study in peace. The good thing with Stonebridge Colleges courses is that they are flexible, and so the time studying can be manageable!
The best of luck to you with your studies.
