I have just started the level 3 professional dog grooming course, and I am wondering what you all do for support as i would like to talk to other people who are studying the same course.

Hi, I started the course four weeks ago and have submitted Seven assignments up to now. I am really enjoying it, I found it very interesting and  straight forward. I have bought a couple of books the best one being, Grooming Manuel for the dog and cat by Sue Dallas, Diana North and Joanne Angus it was a hefty £53 but worth the money. My tutor is Natasha Beukes who has been amazing at marking my assignments, they have literally been marked within a couple of hours which always encourages me to complete the next one!  Good luck with the course Stacey and hope the move goes well. Your doing great Amanda I've finished the course I'm now doing the dog walking and dog sitting diploma I've only got 5 assessments to do then final examination then will have my diploma in that too I'm finding it hard to get job in a groomers as most quilfied groomers are self employed and work on there that's why I've done my next one as I can go out and start on my own practicly right away I've applied for princess trust fund loan already on line to start up small business and I'm carrying on with more studying I've got 8 more courses written down in order I want them in so I've got extra knowledge in all animal skills which will help me expand my business and grow from strength to strength good luck girls in your new career Maryanne

Wow, that sounds amazing, how busy are you! I must admit I have loved it and found it so easy to fit into my day. My only disappointment was upon purchasing the course I was told I qualified to purchase the following Advanced course at half price but had to purchase it that day and as I wasn't sure at that stage how long it would take me I didn't want to have two courses on the go so missed out on the offer, something I am regretting now I am doing the final! Have you done the Advanced course, if so what did you think of it?  It was always my intention to start a small grooming business from home as I am currently caring for my mum so have to be close by and as we have a building that could be converted to a small salon I thought it would be a good opportunity. You sound like you have lots of interesting ideas for a business so good luck with that.
