I like the look of this course a lot, and was very close to doing it before I decided to go for level 4 Child Psychology. I am enjoying my course, and glad I chose to complete it, however I am still very tempted to go for the SEN course too :)

Hello, yes I passed! For Assignment 2 Q1 I got most of the info from a book called ' supporting teaching and learning in schools'. There is loads of info on the net about legislation. I just wrote brief overview of relevant ones and how why they are important.

Hi Nikki, I'm no expert but have u got the points you want to discus down then write a paragraph or 2 on each aspect. I felt I was filling or padding so on my last assignment i just stuck to the points ans explained them then concluded.

I think I have, think I need a few more points on the use of Piaget. Have described the work, and am now writing about how its implicated now. You would have thought i'd breeze this as a primary school teacher! Long mat leave means I've not used my brain anywhere near enough in the last 18 months!

Hi Claire.
I didn't do a power point I did detailed notes on the Legislation's. I also did a poster. Many be you have written enough, if you have covered all the major points and feel you would be repeating how about doing something visual to explain? x

Hi Kim, I'm new to all this and haven't sudied in donkeys years! I really haven't got a clue what I'm doing, and wondering whether I've taken on too much? It does seem very difficult..I would love a study partner, and I'm just glad I'm not the only one that feels this way!

Hi Ladies, I've just finished this course and its really interesting so don't give up hope yet!
Areas of development to talk about: physical (motor skills, growing) emotional & social (interacting with family, egocentric etc) intellectual (how they think and learn i.e. trial and error/play), Communication (Speech, gestures, body language)
Then how they have an affect on each other like if you have not developed communication skills you may develop slower in social development as you may not have a large group of friends as you can not communicate on the same level. Which may lead to intellectual development being affected as you may staff off school or not join in lessons ....and so on.
Hope this motivates you all a bit!
Good luck, Leanne

Hi Ladies, I am just about to start this course and have previously completed level 3 diploma TA. This course is soooooo much different, it took be by surprise and shocked my confidence. Your comments above Leanne have steered me in the right direction and i feel i have already covered this in the TA Course. Could i ask though how much attention did you take to the activities in the study guides. How much time did you spend researching all the different theorists.

Would love to hear back from you/or all as this would boost my confidence.

many thanks
Jemma

Hi Jemma
I also completed the level 3 TA diploma and thought this would be a fantastic course to follow on with, however i am struggling with the first assignment already and have even put off doing the course as i thought it was going to be too difficult.
I am now wanting to try again and after reading your post wondered how you are doing and if you may have any pointers please.
Thanks
Vee

The first one took me a long time as I was going too in depth with the activities . Sometimes I got a little stuck and had to leave it and go back to it but I really enjoyed it :-) hope you are getting on well!
