Silvia, this is a great question and I always need an open and direct reply on this. Unfortunately, the College hasn't informed me about recognitions. I am trying to find out something by myself. First of all, recognition is what it counts so that you will be able to be a Psychologist. If they inform you openly, please inform me, too. I have been searching since July!

Thank you. But, their material is what is taught throughout Universities most of the times. Did anyone respond to you from  Stonebridge? If we can't be something, why they have uploaded Institutions accepting us? There is ambivalence here, in this College. This is a Diploma, not just a Certification. I think that someone from the Stonebridge has to reply to our questions here. Jacq, thank you for your reply. We all started with aspirations here, unfortunately.

Thé governing body for psychologisrs un thé UK is BPS ( british Psychological sociéty ) please look at the site look at job requirements and you will see that a diploma is the first stage - it Is a regulated occupation ( quite rightly ) I am sure the college will not suggest otherwise or I would be concerned - it would be like saying someone could be a nurse after doing a first aid course - I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but please look at BPS the governing body in the UK and plan towards progression - diploma is your first step

I live in Greece and BPS is not recognised here. I have contacted them and you are right. Although, if you check the membership here, there are other organisations, as well. Please, if Stonebridge replies to you, let us know. We are all worried. You can also check this one: https://www.naric.org.uk/naric/, it is international and approved by the most countries. I emailed Stonebridge again, they have to do something with BPS, as well! We all have to contact them, I have been trying since July!

Silvia, it is relative with Psychology and the material is great, but Stonebridge does not reply on recognition. I have already emailed them with information and the forum here, but I received nothing! I am too worried, as well. Ok, they are awarded by abc, so what? WE are the ones who need international recognition, practice and work on the field. We all have to email them about this issue. Your query is to the point, will they reply like that?...

Good afternoon,

This course is theory only, the BPS would not be able to give this recognition. Moving forward in this field would normally involve completing degree level courses, or courses which involve practical placement.

Should you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us directly on 01288 356300.

Best regards,

Other recognitions, please! International ones. Some of us try to keep practising. I've sent you an email and still waiting. This is too serious for all of us.

Silvia, did you check their answer? As I've written before, BPS is not recognisable everywhere. So, we all need something international. What what "Colleges" means? Is there any college? Without something solid?

The diploma and award given for completion of this course is clearly stated on the website, and we do not state that the course is recognised by ALL associations ALL over the World, as no qualification is. Should an individual student wish to join a specific association, we would always ask that students contact associations directly with regards to membership questions.
