I'm nervous about enrolling! I've seen many reviews, good and bad! It'll be my first time using Stonebridge and I want to be sure i'll get what I need.

I want to do the sport science course but i'm unsure what i'll get from it at the end and if it is worth me doing it!

Hi Matt!

On completion of the course, you will receive two certificates, one from Stonebridge Associated Colleges, and one issued by ABC Awards in Level 3 Sports Science. The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future. The unit summary can be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this sector. We do ask that students check with their prospective employers as to whether they will accept this qualification. Hope that helps!

Hello Matt, You have to know something important. With that course you will not be able to get into the REP (Register of Exercise Professionals) and therefore will be very hard to get a job in sports. You can only get into REP with a QFC course (Stonebridge has one in Fitness Instructing Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3 combined). All employers will ask if you are a member of REP and about your points in REP, etc. and about your practical assessment/tests. There is no practical assessment in any of the sports diplomas at Stonebridge, except the QFC one. So be careful! If you want a course that is useful to be employed in sports, you should go with the QFC one instead of the one you chose. I know because I have completed a similar one here first (Sports Coaching Level 3) with the ABC and Stonebridge diploma and could never get a job as this didn't qualify for REP and therefore for the employers.
