I'm at the same stage. I'm using the course material to help. At the end of each unit is a list of the key points from that unit, and I'm basically expanding on those and using as much of my own knowledge as possible. i just feel like I'm writing too much. I'm now 4 pages in and not even finished with unit 3 yet. i think the 2nd question will be easier for me because i use so much of this stuff in the classroom anyways.

I am currently doing this course and on the final examination. I have found all the unit ok, bit long winded but just a case of plodding through it all. I failed the first unit first time around, but that was only because I'm an English student so i wrote each answer like an english essay, when they really wanted separate answers for each bullet point if there was more than 1 in the question. literally was just a case of separating out what i had written and then i passed.

I am struggling with the final examinations though. The first question is so big; basically wanting me to do a summary of the course key points in my own words. Anyone who has done this already roughly how many words did you write?? at the moment I'm about 1500 words and only covered units 1 and 2. I don't want to be writing too much, but at the same time want to make sure I'm covering everything. Just need a little bit of guidance. thanks x

Hi, I am so glad i have stumbled across your post. I am just about to start my first unit and was planning my answer English essay style, is it more brief than in depth they are after then?

not brief so much. write whatever you think you need to include. But for example the first question says "explain why effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with

children
young people
adults"

so i put:

Children: then my answer

Young people: then my answer

adults: then my answer.

i used proper sentences and it was essay form, but rather than writing a paragraph for each one separate it out for each bullet point. once you get used to the way they want the answers its much easier. i passed all the other units first time. I'm just hoping i have as much luck with the finals because its taking me forever!!!! haha x

I got my final examination result within a week, but the email said my paper was ready to be viewed online however you cannot see the result of a final online so I had to ring up and find out if I had passed. Then it was a while before I received my award because basically they don't apply for them until the end of the month and then it's half way through the following month before you will receive it. So for me, I passed in the first week of January, then I didn't get my award till almost the end of February.

I have just started this course! I am hoping to complete it by September! (wishful thinking!!) Do the whole questions have to be 200 words or is it more like 200 words on children, 200 on adults, 200 on young people? (I read this somewhere) Has anyone else recently started?? and is there a facebook page?
