Hi I am not doing  course on line, however I did a level 3 at college. It is best to complete it s you go, writing down the things you do at school etc.  You never know when you might need it for your course. good luck

they sent us this sheet to fill in. my question is do we complete one over the whole course or one sheet each time we are in placement, i wasn't asking if we filled it in as we go along or at the end of the course but thank you for your reply.

I started my reflective journal this week by marking the units in the book, having a quick read of them and then looking at the online lessons. Read the questions in the online lessons and some questions make direct reference to the reflective journal. eg . Unit 5 question 2b, Unit 6 question 3c.
By following this there should be many reflective journal sheets completed!
As Claire suggests, everytime you're in placement jot down what you did as likelyhood is you'll use it in your reflective journal.
That's how I'm approaching it. You may take a different direction however.
Let us know what Stonebridge say .

Specialist support in Teaching and Learning Level 3 by online. I can see all the lessons.
Are you doing by post? Might be good practice to jot down what you do in a placement session and expand upon this when you have a reflective journal entry to submit. Going by the online lessons its definitely not 1 reflective entry for all the whole course. Hope that helps but see what Stonebridge advise.

hi all after having another look through everything, i think i am finally starting to understand the reflective journal. The thing that is bothering me now is the online lessons.... when i log on it says 'this course is all based on the text book we sent you and their is no online lessons' but i choose the online route. Did the lessons start from beginning or part way through?

Hi Jade. When you log into Stonebridge do you get a tab bar at top of page? Includes : Student Zone Home, Upload a Test etc. Click "View Lessons" and the assignments are listed. If you click "view test" then you get the questions.
I'm doing my course online and also have a text book.
The reflective journal took me a while to grasp. I iignored it!

The lessons are the assignments. Within the assignments are the questions we're expected to answer. They started at beginning of the course . Hope that clarifies matters.
I was muddled at first and had to ask Stonebridge how it all worked!

Hi. I've filled in 3 entries so far but I've not done 1 entry for each unit. I'm not entirely sure if correct but I'm going to complete an entry for different activities that I've done in school and then link the activity  to the 2nd page of the reflective journal where it says " Complete the table below....." etc

Hopefully by showing different activities and how they relate to " Engage in personal devt of children, or Support chn Health & Safety etc etc then it shows some level of understanding!!

Like I said its taken me till unit 4 before I contemplated what to do with reflective journal. No idea how many entries we're expected to do.

Thank you, think I need to speak to someone at Stonebridge! not very self explanatory is it?! it confused me as it says 'question no' at top of the sheet, but on the pages in book there's no question numbers, or are they referring to the test and end of each unit? brain is mashed! ha ha
