Hi. I am on final assignment - summarise entire course in own words.
Not too sure how to tackle it yet!
Found the course v. Interesting and a little challenging but largely do-able.
Good luck everyone!

Its not exactly a summary though is it its an essay? When it says summarise points I feel im going on more than the is necessary and boring myself

Yes you do feel like your boring yourself, but the more detailed your answer is, the more likely you will be off hitting the point of the question and getting it right. I see the word summarise to be more on the lines of explain!?!

Hi Jan. I am finding the course quite challenging. Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what information the questions require, and then to condense lots of info into 5 points worth. Though I must be doing ok because I`m on assignment 8 and have passed everything so far. How about you? Oliver.

Hey Jan, I have just passed the course with a 'distinction' and am chuffed to bits.
The course has been great and I have learnt so much that I didn't know, even though i have been working in EYFS stage for the last year!
Good luck to all you guys doing the course and remember, the answers are always out there.....lol.

Hi everyone! This is great! I've only done the first assignment and that was a while ago as life got in the way for quite a while. However, I'm trying to get back on track now and work out how to fit this in to a hectic life (any suggestions/good routines?).
I'm feeling super inspired by this community though - it is such a huge help knowing there are others 'out there'!! I'm now working as a Support Assistant 20hrs a week so hope to be OK finding out info 'on the job'.

Is anyone else on Assignment 2 that wants to work with me to encourage each other to get it done?

Hi Jennie and Emma, how are you getting on with the course? I`m on assignment 8 now. I have found it hard to condense lots of info into a few paragraphs, but doing ok.

Hi Jennie! Wow your new job sounds great, I look forward to hear more info and experience about it if you don't mind sharing =).
I am also quite busy (I am sure we all are) having to work along side study and all.I find just dedicating about an hour a day on my assignments really adds up
and becomes much of a good routine. Also it's a relief to know that Stonebridge doesn't have a time limit on their courses(although after reading other comments, I recommend to report in to the college atleast every 6 months incase they archive your work). And I am also very happy about the new community, I feel like I am less alone now! Do keep in-touch and good luck!

Just ask around the schools to see if they have volunteer placements. I was lucky enough to find the Jobcentre had a school available for work experience (bit down on luck with jobs so JSA is necessary). My 8 week placement just ended and it was a bit sad but they've asked me to carry on volunteering and that they will be advertising positions towards the end of the school year, I found it motivated me to get a move on with the final exam of this course. Now it's just typing it up and ordering it to flow. Good luck to you all.

I have just started doing this course! I was doing a primary teaching degree in university but was not able to complete it as I did not pass the placement requirements. I am halfway through the second assignment at the moment. So far it seems to be ok. I was wondering how people if you do not have a job whilst undertaking the course, who have u gone to, to apply for jobs?

Go around schools offering to volunteer it gives you valuable experience. At the end of the summer term I had volunteered for 2 months in a school and hope that when jobs appear on the council website I will have a good chance as I finished this course in July, not only that but that headteacher stated he was impressed with my work and will happily give me a good reference. Hope this helps Amy.

I have just received my pack through with the text book. I signed up to the online course but can't see any of the lessons on there or understand how to submit work etc. or what needs to be done when and submitted with what. Have sent an email to support but on first glance this course looks very confusing! Was hoping to get my head round it all before going into my schol placement in september.

You have to consider the fact that the assignments arrive by second class post so it is down to your post office and how quick they process it. I found that I had a generally quick turn around, it would arrive within a week of being marked.

The length of your answers will all depend on whether you feel like you've answered the question as there is a word limit. My answers tended to be around 200 - 400 words depending on the amount of questions and how detailed the answer will be.
