Hi All, I have also got this course, I received it back in August but due to ill health I have only just started to get back into it, the thing I find the hardest is trying to motivate myself, I love the fact that I can study from home, however, I find it easier to study when I have people I can talk to throughout the course!

Can anyone recommend any good study tips?? The last time I studied was back in school...almost 11 years ago!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried setting up a facebook study group so you can discuss subjects or using skype to chat or txting...with someone on same course...go to the library or sit in the park or cafe :)

I haven't to be honest, I love the idea of being able to message others on the same course, a distance study buddy. I moved to a new area year before last and still found it pretty difficult to meet new people, which was a shock to me as I always had friends back in my hometown and am a really outgoing person lol. Thank you for your suggestions, definitely worth looking into :)

Hi MissWotsit,

creating a facebook study group is a really good way to go. Its very motivating and nice to know you are just a post away from others studying the same course and you can all help each other.

Ideas- Go to a local college and ask some people if they are doing a simular course to you as most courses are the same, ask some advice, maybe meet up with a few people to get a idea and help you get motivated. local libuarys?! anything that can help you get stuck in your work! i hope this helps

Hi MissWotsit,
I totally get where you are coming from. It can be very hard to motivate yourself at home. Its taken me about 2 years but I`m finally on Ass.9. Takes a while to get back into the habit of learning! I also moved to a new area to make a fresh start just over a year ago and its taken a long time to make new friends but its gradually getting better. I`ve found it helpful to study in the local library at designated times and get involved in local groups etc. Good luck.
