Hi this is the feedback I got stuck with this question, help this helps im waiting on unit 9 to be moderated

playworkers use indicators to determine how well the play environment is established and how it benefits play. Playwork principles are used as a guide to develop the objectives and indicators. There are various types of indicators. For example 1, how well the play environment is established to enable children to engage with the Playwork Curriculum : Water, Earth, The Senses, A varied landscape, materials, loose parts etc. You need two examples another could be taken from Hughes 1996 (mentioned above), which is to assess if the play environment could be described as: physically challenging, exciting, fun etc. This would give an indication as to how things are working in the environment and the possible need for change. Then you also needs to consider 2 objectives. Objective 1: The provision extends the choice and control, which children have over their play, the freedom they enjoy and the satisfaction they gain from it. Objective 2 The provision manages the balance between the need to offer risk and the need to keep children safe from harm. These objectives focuses on the benefits to children at the time they are playing. It is therefore possible to evaluate how well the provision is delivering them in the relatively short term.    Indicators are use to identify how things are working in the environment and the possible need for change. Indicators are developed from the Playwork principles. You need to give two examples of indicators that could be used to help ensure the environment is of an appropriate standard. For example if you consider health and safety. The environment has.... (theses are known as a set of indicators)......a valid health and safety policy, risk assessments up to date, appropriate lay out of the play provision, appropriate uniform/clothing wore by staff etc, These indicators designed to make us think differently about health and safety, when providing for play within the environment and can be used in order to improve upon your play provision.
