help on the final...

Hi to all I'm doing the teaching assistant level 3 cache stlis .can someone guide me on a final.. what to do n how to summarise all of the units..

I'm in exactly the same position. Just started my final piece. I want to know if we have to stick to 50 words per question or if we can go above this?

Good luck to you also! I've emailed them to find out but haven't heard anything yet. I went over on all the assignment questions, normally by 100's of words and still passed them so I'm hoping it's the same for this. I don't think I can say everything I want to say in 50 words!

Exactly even if u have to summarise.them accurately then I would.probably have to use alot of.words..

The 50 words is just a guide. You can go over and go into more detail. I heard back today. Thank goodness as I would not be able to fit what I have to say into 50 words!

I'm just waiting for my certificate to be issued for this.. Apparently I've passed but heard nothing for over a month.. For the first part remember this is a summary. I went back to the course outcomes in the view  lessons section and summarised what I had learnt under the headings given e.g.
 Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults.

 ·   Understand how to develop and build positive relationships based on trust, respect and co-operation; in order to benefit children and young people within the setting, and any adults with whom we are in contact.

·    Understand and recognise the differences that may affect relationships and communication, such as culture, upbringing, or status. etc

for the second part I summarised how this would be integrated into every day working life, agin under the headings, e.g.
*Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults.

The study programme has been invaluable in enabling me to both recognise and develop confident communication skills that I can now apply to a wide range of people regardless of age or position. It has also hi-lighted how important it is to develop these skills in children and young people in order for them to develop into well-adjusted, confident individuals who are able to achieve.etc

Thanks vivianne This actually did help.. Can you explain how many words can be used and can we use the paperwork we got from the online lessons to summarise.them .

Vivianne have you payed all your installments maybe thats why you havent heard. Call the college and tell thim it's been over a month hopefully youll get the reason. You have to pay all your installments in order to find out your final grade:)

I've called them Israh.. apparently I should receive my certificate over the next two week although it was graded the 26th April and I havent received the grades, just an automated email saying completed and passed.. I did 3000 words total on my final, roughly 1500 per question then! I did thousands over the guide on all of the assignments though as it was impossible to answer fully without! Glad to have helped a little and best of luck! :) x x

I literally summarised in my own words the major learning from the  on-line syllabus and lesson plans: Syllabus: (cant get into view lessons a site down) 
  • Understand the principles of developing positive relationships with children, young people and adults
  • Understand how to communicate with children, young people and adults
  • Understand legislation, policies and procedures for confidentiality and sharing information, including data protection
Answered: Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults.

 ·   Understand how to develop and build positive relationships based on trust, respect and co-operation; in order to benefit children and young people within the setting, and any adults with whom we are in contact.

·    Understand and recognise the differences that may affect relationships and communication, such as culture, upbringing, or status etc. then for the second part summarised how I would use this as detailed earlier.. Obviously it was grown to cover all aspects. PM me your email address and I'll see if I can help.. I don't know what I've got yet though.. Oh, and I paid for my course upfront, before I started it, in full x x
