Helloooooo first NI person. Yes I have researched it is the exact same course offer in NWRC in Derry. 44CREDITS AND LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA. And it is qcf which had replaced nvq. . I have just started unit 1 but still waiting for paper work to be sent. Course includes NI schools structure laws etc.

Im still a bit concerned as now the teachers at the school where im working at the min told me that a few other people have completed this particular course and the board in ni don't recognise it. I have contacted stonebridge but they haven't replied.
The course itself is very interesting and im really enjoying it but not finding as much time as id like to get cracking at it. Have you any idea how id get the list of courses that NI do actually accept. I slightly worried now!

Hiya my dears done a bit of research,

this is a link to the awarding body that is used  in our course NCFE.  Northern Ireland is a big part of it. there is 4 different bodies - NCFE, CACHE, EDEXCEL and City and Guilds.

http://www.ncfe.org.uk/about-ncfe/

the course level is QCF level and is 100% Northern Ireland accredited. please have a read at this link. QCF has replaced nvqs.

http://www.accreditedqualifications.org.uk/qualifications-and-credit-framework-qcf.html

this course that we are doing NCFE Level 3 Specialist Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) has 15 units all worth 44 credits which is the exact same units and credits in the exact same courses held in my local college. all courses you need to be vetted and a placement.

please look through this article from the Western Education Board NI. go to appendix 2 it states all accredited bodies and you will find NCFE in there.

I hope this is of use to you and put your mind at rest. But if you find out any other info from your school please keep me updated too . xoxox
