Hi everyone,
Just a quick one to get some heads up on the Occupational Competence and Assessing Vocational Skills units.
More specifically around the evidence, have you or are you able to provide evidence for your quality provision (observation) from a previous observation or do you have to have one carried out especially for the Occupational Competence unit.
I ask this because I have had quite a few formal observations done in recent months with evidence of learner profiles, work product that has been assessed, the observation carried out on myself as well as the proof of competence of my observer (IQA).
Also when providing evidence of schemes of work, session assessment plans or any other planning tools, is it better to use working documents that have been modified over the period of a course/programme or do they only need to see the generic planning tool at it's initial stage.
I have actually conducted this qualification previously and been let down by the provider, so I have a good idea of what evidence I am expected to submit but I thought it prudent to seek the advice of any peers out there who are under taking this qualification who may have a background in the industry such as myself.
Look forward to hearing from any of you.
Dan
