Aquarium and Fishkeeping Level 3 Correction

I assume it's alright to post this as it's not an assignment question.  I've reached assignment 2 on my course and feel very frustrated.  In one section it states goldfish can be kept in bowls.  Now a fancy goldfish, such as a Ryukin or an Oranda, has a potential life span of 7 to 10 years.  They can grow to about a foot long.  Common goldfish can grow to up to 13 inches and live for over 20 years.  Keeping them in bowls is extremely cruel and this should be made clear in the course.  Of course bowls are still sold for fish keeping purpose but any experienced keeper knows this shouldn't be the case.

A lot of the material felt dated to me. Course really loves fish-in cycling despite the fact that most consider it an unnecessary cruelty these days.

Course really should be amended as this is just totally false and misleading information.

Really is. I've had a lot of fun doing it and learnt a fair amount about fish in general as well as aquariums.

Some of the information IS dated. But if you're familiar with modern fish keeping practices, you'll spot it a mile off. (Can you even buy UG filters these days?).

Go for it, if you're interested. :)

EDIT: All the tutors I've spoken to are really nice for this course as well. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
