Hi Rachael. I've studied the animal care course in the past with the college. Is it the animal care level 3 diploma? If it is I can help you with your question.

Hi Rachel,

Does your course have the following units:

Cats
Dogs
Horses
Birds
Rabbits
Reptiles and amphibians
Guinea pigs, hamsters and mice

If it does that's the level 3 diploma not level 1.
When I studied my course it was just assignments, and each question had so many marks of what to write. I'm not sure about the course having essays to write.

Is it one from Stonebridge? The only courses I've seen are, animal health, animal care, animal communication and some others and they are all level 3.

I am doing the animal care course at the moment.

Is it unit 1 that you are on? I have just got my marks back for that one.
Is the question "write a short essay (300 words) on whether you feel it is possible to train a cat?"

Hi Sarah, you can train a cat. I did the animal care course a few years ago, and I had that worry to. You can write about, how cats can be trained to use a litter tray by the owner, and also the cats mother. You will need to research your answers. Try using Google or Ask Jeeves. The R.S.P.C.A site also has useful information, which will help you in your course. The library is also a good place, to borrow books from on animal care. The more research you do and use in your answers, the better marks you will get at the end, and the more you will learn about animals. I really enjoyed the course. My fave parts were the rodents and cats.

I hope this helps
